I saw Silent Hill over the weekend. I didn't leave feeling even a little bit creeped.

I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest today. Jack Nickelson used to be pretty attractive. I liked the film. I'd wanted to see it for years but everyone told me to read the book first. I still might read it one day.

a history of violence (reviewed by bust ass in an interview with emily)

e: so bust ass, what did you think of this film?
b.a.: man i don't know...i thought it was going to be different you know? i didn't know it was going to be all rowdy.
e: what do you mean? it's called a history of violence.
b.a.: but i thought it was going to be a small town family and the violence would come to them.
e: what did you think of viggo mortensen's character?
b.a.: well...i liked him i guess.
e: what did you think when that one guy hit the other guy in the face?
b.a.:i thought it was cool.
e: if you had been the son getting bullied at school, how would have you responded?
b. a. : i would have invited him over for pizza a couple of afternoons. if that didn't work, i would have shown him how drunk i was.
e: did you ever wish viggo mortensen was your dad?
b.a.: yeah loads of times.
e: do you think if a person has a "history of violence" that they will always be a violent person?
b.a.: i think that people can always change.
e: what about rachel?
b.a.: dude, rachel man, i don't even want to talk about her. that girl does wear too much makeup.
e: what's that helmet for?
b.a.: it's a violent world man. guns can kill partner.
e: any last words about the movie?
b.a.: more 69. the movies i don't see don't usually have 69. and more cottage cheese? that's awesome.

proof

this movie is about james. or what would happen if james was some insane math genius who lost his mind later in life. and gwyneth paltrow was his daughter. and he had another daughter who was really bitchy and controling. and if the james+math= true love jokes weren't getting a little stale.

actually, this movie wasn't that much about math as it was about relationships. but i really didn't care about any of the characters so i didn't care about the story so i didn't care for the movie.

the devil and daniel johnston

this movie looks incredible! i'm a sucker for documentaries, especially the variety that tells an individual's story. i only have a little of daniel johnston's music...it's very lo-fi and heartfelt. the film has a fantastic website...check it out.

daniel is also a an outside artist. Check out some more of his work here.
